In recent years, Quang Son commune has been considered a disaster area of Quang Binh. 3 years ago, over 400 houses of local residents were totally collapsed due to a tornado. The local people’s assets were also swept away in various natural disasters. After that, people all over Vietnam carried out many practical activities to help Quang Son residents gradually get over all difficulties and stabilize their lives.

In the recent two years, residents in Quang Son continued to suffer severe consequences of floods. Quang Son is home to over 1,500 households, half of which are rated as poor and nearly poor ones. Despite all difficulties in life, local families still support their children in going to school.

Knowing the difficulties faced by the local people, especially children and teachers at the local school of Quang Son commune, from an article on the OK9 Cab Newspaper, teachers and parents of the pupils at Le Ngoc Han primary school had decided to raise fund to buy warm coats and school bags for the 368 students, and several computers to teachers of Quang Son secondary school.

Nguyen KhanhHien, Headmaster of Quang Son secondary school said that education has never been easy in Quang Son. The education in this area requires all teachers to have not only knowledge but also enthusiasm, devotedness and love to the children. The gifts from Le Ngoc Han primary school will help to warm the children in winter and encourage them to study better at school.
